Renewal Crew
Terms of use

The deal, in plain words.

Last updated: November 3, 2026

By using coverahead.com or giving us your renewal month, you're agreeing to what's on this page. If you don't agree with it, don't use the site — nothing here is binding on you until you do.

1. What Renewal Crew is

Renewal Crew is a marketing and referral business. We ask business owners what month their insurance policies renew, we remind them ahead of time, and we introduce the ones who want a second opinion to a licensed insurance agent who pays us for the introduction.

2. What Renewal Crew is not

We are not an insurance agency, broker, producer or carrier. We are not licensed to transact insurance in any state. Nothing on this site and nothing from anyone here is insurance, legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, an offer of insurance, a solicitation to buy a specific policy, a recommendation, or a quote. We don't discuss coverage, carriers, limits, deductibles, premiums or rates, and if you ask us to, we'll tell you a licensed agent can answer that.

3. Introductions, and the agents we make them to

If you ask for a second opinion, we pass your details to one state-licensed insurance agent chosen for your trade and your area. That agent is an independent business. They are not our employee, our partner, our agent or our representative, and we don't control what they say to you, what they offer you, how they handle your details or how quickly they get back to you.

We make no promise about what an agent will do, offer, find or charge, and we don't vouch for the outcome of any conversation. We check that an agent holds a licence in the state they're working in; we are not responsible for their advice, their conduct or their business.

Nothing you do with an agent is owed to us, and nothing we're paid depends on it.

4. No savings claims

We don't claim you'll save money, pay less or get better terms, because we have no way of knowing. Anyone who tells you otherwise before seeing your paperwork is guessing. If you ever see a savings claim attributed to Renewal Crew, it didn't come from us — tell us and we'll have it taken down.

5. What you agree to when you submit a form

  • The details you give us are yours to give, and they're accurate as far as you know.
  • You're an owner or an authorised decision-maker for the business you're telling us about, and you're 18 or over.
  • We may email you about your renewal, and if you asked for a second opinion, we may pass your details to one licensed agent who may call, text or email you — including by automated means — at the number and address you gave us. Consent isn't a condition of anything. Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can withdraw all of it at any time by replying "stop" to any email or using the opt-out form. We act on it the same day.

6. Using the site

Don't submit anyone's details but your own business's, don't submit details you know to be false, don't try to break, scrape, overload or get into parts of the site that aren't public, and don't use anything here to build a competing list. The forms are for real businesses asking real questions.

7. What's ours

The site, its text, its design and the name Renewal Crew are ours. You're welcome to read, print and share pages; you're not welcome to republish them as your own or use our name to suggest we endorse you.

8. Other sites

Where we link out, we're not responsible for what's on the other end.

9. No warranties

The site and the reminders are provided as they are. We intend to send every reminder on time, but we don't guarantee that a reminder will arrive, that it will arrive by any particular date, that an email won't go to spam, or that the site will always be up. The reminder is a courtesy, not a contract, and the date your policy renews is yours to know.

10. Limits on what we owe you

To the extent the law allows: we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, for lost business or profits, for anything an independent agent does or fails to do, or for anything that follows from a reminder that didn't arrive. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is capped at $100, which reflects the fact that you pay us nothing.

Some states don't allow parts of this. Where that's the case, those parts don't apply to you and the rest still stands.

11. Your part

If you submit someone else's details without the right to, or use the site in a way these terms forbid, and that costs us something, you'll cover it.

12. Disputes

Before filing anything, email hello@coverahead.com. Nearly everything gets sorted out that way, and we'd rather fix a problem than argue about it.

This section will name a governing law and a venue once a lawyer has been over these terms. Until it does, neither of us waives anything by its absence.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
